Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how PingBlu ("PingBlu," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the PingBlu mobile application, website, shared-reminder web experiences, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
2. Information We Process
Account information
If you create an account, we process information needed to authenticate and maintain it, such as your email address, account identifier, and authentication-related records.
Location information
PingBlu is a location-reminder service. With your permission, the app processes precise device location, including background location, to create places, determine proximity to reminder locations, deliver arrival reminders, save parking or remembered places, and support location-based features. You can change location permissions in your device settings, but some core features may stop working.
Reminders, Saved Places, and content you provide
We process information you choose to save, such as reminder titles, selected places, coordinates, place labels, Saved Places, reminder settings, and related state needed to deliver and synchronize your reminders. If you attach an optional photo, audio recording, or note, that content is processed to provide the feature you requested.
Sharing
When you choose to share a reminder or place, PingBlu may create a share record containing the location, reminder context, and optional media you selected for sharing. Anyone with a valid share link may be able to view the shared content, so share links only with people you trust.
Siri and voice features
When you use supported Siri or voice actions, PingBlu processes the resulting command information needed to create or manage the requested reminder or place. Apple may separately process Siri interactions under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
Diagnostics and analytics
We collect limited app-usage, feature, subscription-funnel, and reliability analytics to understand performance and improve PingBlu. Our analytics implementation is designed not to intentionally send exact coordinates, street addresses, reminder or note text, Saved Place names, Siri utterance text, photos, audio, or email addresses as analytics event parameters.
Subscription and purchase information
Purchases are processed by Apple. PingBlu and its subscription-service provider may receive purchase status, product, entitlement, transaction, and subscription-state information needed to unlock and manage PingBlu Pro. We do not receive your full payment-card details from Apple.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, synchronize, and restore PingBlu features.
- Trigger and manage location-based reminders and notifications.
- Authenticate accounts and protect account integrity.
- Provide sharing and optional media features.
- Manage PingBlu Pro access, purchases, and restores.
- Diagnose crashes, reliability problems, abuse, and technical issues.
- Understand aggregate feature usage and improve the Services.
- Comply with law and enforce applicable terms.
4. Service Providers and Third Parties
PingBlu uses service providers to operate the Services. Depending on the feature you use, these may include Supabase for cloud account/data services, Google Maps Platform and Google Places for mapping/place functionality, Firebase Analytics for product analytics, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management, Apple for App Store purchases and Siri/system services, and Expo or related infrastructure used to build and operate app functionality. These providers process information under their own applicable terms and privacy practices and only as needed for their roles.
We do not sell your personal information or location data. We do not use your precise location for third-party advertising.
5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
Some information may be stored locally on your device and some may be stored in cloud systems so features can synchronize, share, or persist across sessions. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security and integrity, satisfy legitimate operational needs, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Shared content may remain available while its share record remains active. Backup or security copies may persist for a limited period before deletion through normal system rotation.
6. Your Choices and Controls
You can control location, notification, microphone, photo-library, and other device permissions through iOS settings. You can choose whether to create or share reminders and whether to attach optional media. Where available, you can manage subscription billing through your Apple account.
7. Account and Data Deletion
PingBlu provides an account-deletion option in the app's account settings. Deleting your account is different from signing out or uninstalling the app. When you request deletion, PingBlu will delete your account and associated personal data that we are not legally required to retain, including user-linked cloud records within our control. Certain records may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or transaction/accounting obligations, and limited backup copies may remain until normal rotation completes.
If you have an active auto-renewable subscription, deleting your PingBlu account does not by itself cancel billing managed by Apple. You should manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple account.
8. Children
PingBlu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was provided in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Processing
Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have data-protection rules different from those where you live.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as PingBlu evolves. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
